Calculated risk-takers

Yes, as entrepreneurs, we’re risk-takers. But, no, we’re not large-scale gamblers.

Rather, we’re calculated risk-takers – where heart, intuition, guts, logic, and some luck, all play a part.

“If you’re not a risk taker, you should get the hell out of business.” – Ray Kroc, Founder of McDonald’s

“Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma – which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of other’s opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.”

Steve Jobs, co-founder of Apple and Pixar Animation, speaking at Stanford University, knowing he had pancreatic cancer that eventually killed him, aged 56.
